View From Above 2

The view from above is the same view a parent has: looking down on the child with love. However, the child looks up and see things from a different perspective. Sometimes the child only sees only a reason to fear punishment. When children do something wrong they fear their parents. They will run and hide to escape the wrath they expect from their parents.

If you are a parent and your child does something wrong then you do not want them to feel so guilty that they run away from home just to avoid punishment. Instead, you want your child to come to you regardless of what he or she did wrong. Chances are, you still love your child so much and would hate to see him/her run away. In the same way, God wants you to run to Him regardless of what you did. He misses you so much and just wants to love on you-to show you He still cares for you even though you did something wrong.

God, as the perfect parent, wants us to run to Him when we sin; not to run from Him and not to sulk in guilt or dwell on self-defeat. Get up and go to Him and you will see He isn't mad at you like you thought. He is glad just to be with you.

The view from above is a view of love. It is God seeing the beauty in every person on earth and wanting to have a relationship with him/her.
